Hey, hi, it's me Bodhi. I know I look all cute and cuddly with my giant Dobby ears and wiry
mohawk but don't let that fool you, I'm a scrappy little guy who survived being dumped in the
woods, hit by a car and spending at least a couple nights in the swampy overgrowth by Bayou
Sauvage. Luckily, I was rescued by the persistence and kindness of a couple good Samaritans.
I went straight to the vet and was treated for a broken back leg and some neuro issues from
being hit by that car. That didn't slow me down though, my leg is all healed and I don't have any
cognitive deficits either!
That incident (and whatever my life was before that) did have some lasting impact. I have some
trust issues and am having to learn that the right humans can be ok. I've been in foster for 2
months and am slowly learning how to dog. I absolutely LOVE to play with my foster siblings,
we love to wrestle and play with toys (especially ones that squeak!) and I'm starting to let my
people pet me. I think this house life might not be so bad after all...but I still have a ways to go.
I do not like to be picked up and haven't gotten used to a leash yet (these things are still really
scary for me!) but my foster moms are confident I'll get there with patience, reassurance and
lots of love.
So long story short, I'm not gonna be your typical lapdog right from the get-go. I've been
through some s*** and need a patient and calm environment that has a good routine and dog
siblings to show me the ropes(sorry that means no kids!). That being said, my foster moms do
keep going on and on about how cute I am (and they're right) and once I am able to trust you
and my spunky personality comes out, you will have an endless source of entertainment and
amusement! Think your home might be the right fit for this spicy Chi? Fill out an adoption app
