(Written by Smitty's neighbor as if in his voice:)
My person, Denise, rescued me from a cage after the flooding in Central LA, Aug 2016.
That makes me nine or ten. I'm in good health.
I'm Remarkedly beautiful and handsomely marked, nice, and smart!
My senior citizen Denise was hospitalized and can't keep me now.
We had the house to ourselves.
What she said about me: I'm very dog-like. I liked to follow her around.
I would come when called. I'm not noisy at all since I have a very soft meow.
Living in a shot-gun house, I liked to lie across a threshold between rooms sometimes.
When hungry I stood around my food dish; I didn't weave around her feet.
I may like wet food a little better, but eat both wet and dry.
Denise has a fenced-in, secure back yard. I would sit by the door sometimes to go out.
I have no front claws. I was frightened to be on the front porch.
Unless YOU have a secure outdoor area, I need to be indoors!
Denise doesn't know if I've ever been around kids, but I'm used to a quiet home now.
I may be ok with other pets, I don't know, but I'd best be in a home with no children.
If I get annoyed or upset, my only defense may be to bite since I have no claws.
I have a chip that's not registered. Dr. Nicole Larroque has been my vet.
Denise's neighbor wrote this for me. She says I'm the most beautifully marked cat she's ever seen!
