Meet McDreamy.
If you've been following his journey, you probably remember him as the little dog who arrived so severely matted that his fur had become a painful shell. The mats were so tight against his skin that he had to be sedated just so they could be removed safely and humanely. When over 1.3 pounds of matted fur finally came off, an entirely different dog emerged.
And what a dog he is.
McDreamy has all the charm of an old Hollywood leading man. With his soulful eyes and distinguished little face, he could easily pass for a silver screen star. But don't let his sophisticated looks fool you-this little guy is full of life! He loves toys, zooming around the house, and perching dramatically on the back of the couch so he can keep an eye on everything happening around him.
More than anything, McDreamy wants to be with his person. He'd be the perfect companion for someone who works from home, has a dog-friendly office, or simply wants a devoted sidekick by their side. His favorite place is wherever you are.
He's also a true gentleman with other animals. He's respectful of canine boundaries, happily taking the "beta" role if another dog sets the rules, and he's proven to be wonderfully polite around cats, preferring a curious sniff over causing any trouble.
His house training has come a long way in foster care and continues to improve every day. Like many dogs who have experienced instability, McDreamy can become anxious when left alone. He's clever enough to look for ways to follow his people, so he'll need a secure home and a family committed to helping him build confidence and feel safe.
McDreamy has already survived neglect that no dog should ever experience, yet he hasn't let it steal his joyful spirit or his ability to love. He's affectionate, playful, eager to please, and ready to spend the rest of his life making up for lost time.
